Just stopped by to be nosey... :) (that's the female in me) Noticed you were a 46'r too and I just had to compare times. You did awesome.!!!! Congrats!!!! Since I'm a wimp and hate getting out in the cold, I did all mine indoors, the ride was on my Spinning Bike, the run on my treadmill, all of which is in the basement. My bike was quite a bit faster than yours.....hehehehehe.... Obviously, I had NO wind, very very few hills, No rain. and watched a couple of Ironman DVD's while I was riding and running to keep me motivated. So far my birthday I bought myself a necklace and had it engraved on the back with 4 SM 46 BK 6 RN. Here's a pic.
As fate would have it, yesterday was a beautiful day here in Rochester and I headed inside to swim. All in all it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I got to the pool early and in just a little under two hours 1:45 (including two tinkletorium breaks and a lot adjusting of my goggles) I was able to get 3 miles in. Zoomed off to court and was back in a different pool by 11:15 (court break was about 2.5 hours) to finish my last mile, which took me 37 minutes. If there was such thing as a walking pace while swimming I certainly found it during the last mile. It was nice that the 2nd pool was much cooler - it cooled down my overheated and sore shoulders. I am doing my 6 miles around 2:30 today, and will probably have 45 degrees and some rain to deal with. Too bad I couldn't have done everything yesterday, because it was a beautiful day (just fate getting back at me for spreading this thing out over 3 days).
