About Me:
I enjoy outdoors exercising and training for triathlons, I swim about 8000 yards a week, run about 10-12 miles and bike 100 miles average every week. I also practice yoga regularly. I love open water swims and touring on the bike either single or tandem. I stopped using my car for daily transportation a couple of years ago, it is a great feeling to be fitter than ever in my late 40s and to be able to use cycling as an alternative mode of transportation.

Finished the challenge!

Yesterday it was my birthday and I took the challenge of doing all 3 events within 24 hours on weekday when I had to work at least 6 hours. Other challenge of planning 4 miles swim, 9 miles run and 49 miles ride in Tucson in May is that it could be very hot so the hours available to do the run and ride become limited too. I will post a longer explanation about how my day went with pictures to illustrate the different venues I used. It is a great feeling to be done, it was a hard day and long day… Continue

4 days for the challenge

My birthday is on Thursday and for the B-fit bday to be a true challenge I have to do it in 24 hours, since every week I do more than my triathlon distances with my regularly schedule workouts and using my bike as mode of transportation. The other challenge is that I work on Thursday, so I am arranging my events around work hours. Fortunately I have some flexibility and could start at 9 and leave a little earlier around 3:30. So the schedule is to wake up really early (4 AM) and run to a public… Continue
