I only had one advantage, one small window of opportunity to catch them, and I was going to make it count.
After all it was just one of those perfect days when the sun was warm without scorching the skin, the…

Good Luck!
I just got back from a lunch-time swim of 2,300 yds, during which I realized that I'll only have 24 hrs to complete the challenge. That means I'll have to slip into Lake Monona by about 4:45 AM, the morning after, to take my swim total up to 5 m. My only concern is finding someone to help me document it. My wife will be sleeping in the suite with her disabled mom. So...I'm seriously contemplating getting into the lake, a few hours after an IM, in the dark, to complete this challenge. I know I'm crazy, but this is intriguing. Anyone else doing the 197 mile "Hood to Coast" relay race in Oregon next week? It'll be my first time.
Cheers,
John
PS Long drives after events are significantly easier if you have heated seats!
That was probably more painful than the race.
I think a long slow recovery swim would have been great for my body.
Anyway I give you a huge amount of credit for trying.
On a similar note I saw on NBC that Phelps swims about 10,000 meters a day...even during the Olympics.
WOW!
Check out our fundraiser. A bunch of IM Wisc athletes are raising money to buy bikes (and a helmet and a lock) for a bunch of kids who don't have a bike (come on, every kid should have a bike): www.140milesforsmiles.com
Click on "meet the athletes," then on me, John, and donate big bucks!
Thanks everyone.
You Go Girl!
This is so cool, I will update my profile and leave you my address later today.
It would be great if you added those numbers to the forum under the category/Topic called he Finisher's Tent.
That way I can add your times to the age group records and you'll be up for the Sponsor Premiums if you completed the Challenge in April.
Thanks
Did you mean the video review from YouTube or the text on my blog? I guess I need to spend some time figuring this page out.
Sorry I confused you.,
That's my mistake.
I've added the finisher's tent to the forum. so please add your times to that category in the B-Fit forum.
Thanks so much.
Roman
